Where can I pick up a rental car in Bucharest?
You can pick up your car from three locations: Henri Coandă International Airport (Otopeni), Băneasa Airport (Aurel Vlaicu), or the GAB Auto Rent office in Bucharest, Strada Ziduri Între Vii 19, Sector 2. At the airport, the car is brought to you in front of the Arrivals terminal. You may return the car to any of the three locations, regardless of where you picked it up.
How much does pick-up or drop-off at Otopeni or Băneasa airport cost?
Pick-up or drop-off at Otopeni or Băneasa costs €20 between 08:00 and 22:00, and €30 outside those hours. At our Bucharest office, pick-up and drop-off are free. The fee applies separately to pick-up and to drop-off, and it is shown in the price breakdown before you confirm the booking.
Is airport pick-up available at night?
Yes. Delivery and collection at Otopeni and Băneasa are available around the clock, including at night. Between 22:00 and 08:00 the night rate applies: €30 instead of €20.
How is the daily rate calculated?
The daily rate goes down the longer you rent. There are five tiers: 1 day, 2–3 days, 4–7 days, 8–15 days, and 16 days or more (long term). Each car has its own rate for each tier, and the full table is shown on that car's page. The "from" price in the listing is the rate for rentals of 16 days or more — the lowest of the five.
What deposit is required and when is it refunded?
The deposit depends on the car and is either €150 or €200. The exact amount is shown on each car's page, below the rate table. The deposit is held at pick-up and refunded when the car is returned, under the terms of the rental agreement.
What extras can I add to my booking?
You can add: unlimited mileage (€50 for the whole rental period), an adjustable child seat (€30 each, up to 2), an Isofix booster car seat 18–36 kg (€25 each, up to 2), and a 360° rotating magnetic phone holder (€20). These prices are for the entire rental period, not per day, and are added to the total in the booking form.
What cars are in your fleet?
The fleet has 11 cars, from economy to premium: BMW 116d, BMW 218i, BMW 318d GT, BMW X5, Dacia Logan, Mercedes-Benz ML 250, Opel Corsa E, Renault Clio IV, Volkswagen Golf VII, Volkswagen Passat and Volkswagen T-Cross. Most are automatic and diesel. Rates start at €18/day for long-term rentals and go up to €70/day for a single day in a premium model.
